Another little weathering project I finished off recently was the rtr Dapol O gauge bogie bolster wagon. Before weathering I took the wagon apart, separating the underframe from the body and bogies. Some of the Dapol wagons in OO gauge are very difficult to dismantle, but this O gauge was mainly held together by screws and separating the different components was a quick and easy process. Each wagon components was weathered separately via the air brush, before reassembly. As per normal, I used Railmatch enamel paints, alongside some AK interactive rust on the body and stanchions. This was all sealed up with a couple of coats of matt varnish. So a relatively quick and painless project, although the wagon would definitely benefit from having a load added in due course. Anyhow, great to have another wagon ready to roll on the layout.
